Puppy & Kitten Wellness Visits

Setting Your New Fur Baby Up for a Healthy, Happy Life

Obviously, this is the worst part of our job! Just kidding…we love your adorable fur babies. It provides us so much joy to welcome your new family members to our family. It truly helps us through the not-so-nice parts of veterinary medicine. Just like with our annual and sick visits, your puppy/kitten will be assessed, and a full history will be taken. We take this time to examine and ensure they are in good health and then make a plan for your new baby and set them up for success. We will make a schedule for vaccines that will typically be 3 visits for most (every 3-4 weeks from 8 weeks of age until the final puppy/kitten visit at 14-16 weeks of age). Most puppies and kittens come with intestinal parasites (roundworms and hookworms) that can be passed onto us. The recommendation is to deworm every 2-3 weeks from an early age and to continue until that final puppy/kitten visit as a minimum. We will talk about nutrition/training, when to spay/neuter, preventative medications, etc. Don’t be alarmed if your new addition is swooped up and cuddled by the entire staff…
